ABOUT

TruComp Pipe

What do John Deere, Steve Jobs and a composite pipe manufacturing company named TruComp have in common? Well, it’s simple. Both Deere and Jobs were keen observers of their era’s technologies and how people of their era used those technologies. Both envisioned better ways which changed entire industries ushering in new levels of productivity, profitability, and outstanding customer experiences.  We believe TruComp Pipe holds the same potential for our industry.

Our founder, Todd Volker, closely holds the Midwestern sense of improving the things around us. This sense is central to our beliefs and aspirations. We manifested our values beginning with converting an old Lee Jeans manufacturing facility into a modern polymer pipe plant, directly in America’s heartland Ottawa, KS. Here is where we’ve chosen to set ourselves apart from the competition producing our fully bonded next generation composite pipes which overcome the shortcomings found in other composite offerings.

Pound for pound, we believe TruComp is the best solution available. Proudly made in the USA using American Labor, American Materials and American Natural Gas we punch above our weight class. Our goal is to set a new standard for the industry delivering a better product at a better value in a near frictionless business environment.

Todd Volker

CEO

TruComp Pipe’s founder, Todd Volker, has a long and distinguished connection to the pipeline industry. His pipeline career started at a local gas distribution company as a certified butt fusion technician in 1979, eventually becoming the CEO of Boreflex Lamson Pipe. During his tenure, Boreflex Lamson was a leading US polyethylene pipe producer. Todd has excelled in improving manufacturing processes and product design, evidenced by his awarded patents. He holds various intellectual properties in other industries, as well.

Following Boreflex/Lamson, Todd was introduced to spoolable Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe (RTP). This alternative to installing costly steel pipelines caught Todd’s attention and he began developing a better solution. The creation of TruComp Pipe enhances the benefits of and addresses the shortcomings found in other RTP pipes.
